EmPawa finalist Kalukusha to drop debut album

Singer/Songwriter George Kalukusha is set to release his long-awaited debut album.

Titled "We Never Stood A Chance" the album release date is yet to be announced.

The album comes after the successful releases of three EPs, spanning four years.

‘Growing Pains, Hourglass, Millennial Vanity in 2016, 2017 and most recently 2019 respectively.

Kalukusha has been in the studio working on his debut album with a number of notable acts among them Mr Eazi and Sauti Sol.

As a lead up to the launch of the album, George is treating his fans to a single titled “I’ve Got That Feeling (Mbwe Mbwe)”.

The visuals have been directed by the award winning VJ Ice.

Kalukusha, born in 1993 is a singer-songwriter from Lilongwe.

The earnest singer/songwriter dwells in the genre of soul/folk.

He picked up the guitar and that sufficed for a while however, he felt he had something inside which he wanted to share to the world.

Recently, he was part of the Empawa Africa, a concept by Mr. Eazi to promote the next generation of African superstars.

As one of the top 100 upcoming artists across the continent, Kalukusha impressively made it into the top 10 and had the opportunity to work alongside reknowned stars such as Diplo, Raye, Shekhinah, Kwesta and Dj Maphorisa.
