Lake of Stars tickets start selling on Wednesday

Kachere Castle is the venue of this year's festival

Lake of Stars Discovery will start selling tickets for this year’s festival from Wednesday.

LOS says they are expecting to have a huge demand and have mentioned they have limited tickets available which will be released in two batched.

An individual will be allowed to buy a maximum of four tickets.

According to the festival’s communications officer Zilanie Gondwe, all tickets include on-site camping at the festival.

“Lake of Stars Discovery will be an intimate and immersive experience set in a beautiful, remote location, therefore the number of tickets available are limited with strictly advance sales only.”

She urged festive-goers that once they are sold, there will be no more tickets released and no sales at the festival.

“In order to experience the full Lake of Stars Discovery atmosphere, we encourage everybody to stay on site for the three days of the festival. However, if you choose to organise accommodation off site you will still need to purchase a full price ticket.”

For the festival goes, Gondwe says the ticket covers space in the festival campsite only. It is the responsibility of ticket holders to provide their own equipment.

According to Gondwe, those who wish to purchase a local ticket will be required to show a national identity card.

“Children under the age of 12 are able to access the festival for free with no ticket required. Children over the age of 12 are required to purchase a full price ticket. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a full paying adult.”

Early bird three-day ticket and camping package are going at K56,000 and will be available from until 31 May or until stocks last.

Standard three-day ticket and camping package will sale for K66,000 from June 1.

Ticket outlets for the LOS Discovery are: Cuneco café, Lilongwe Wildlife Centre in Lilongwe, Mugg n Bean, Chipembere Highway in Blantyre and Katoto Filling Station, opposite Shoprite in Mzuzu.
