Sand Music Festival back for 9th season


Organisers of Sand Music Festival, Impakt Events Management have announced the return of the 9th season of the festivities.

One of the organisers Nkhwachi Mhango speaking to the media said the three-day, all-inclusive music festival will take place from Friday through Sunday, November 1-3, 2019, at Kabumba Hotel in Salima.

Mhango said SandFest2019 will introduce a couple of novelties aimed at making it more memorable in the minds of patrons.

“In an effort to build community and provide patrons with amazing discounts, we will soon launch an entirely new approach to reserving passes for SandFestival2019,” he said.

Mhango said the 2019 line-up features a diverse range of acts, spanning genres like reggae, R&B, Afro-pop, folk, acoustic, and more.

“Like any arts event, we thrive on innovation and novelty,” he said.

Mhango did not disclose when they will start announcing the roster but said: “This will happen in due course.”

Sand Music Festival is one of Malawi’s most consistent music festivals with a history of hosting star-studded performers.
