2 more to graduate from MultiChoice Talent Factory

Two more Malawian students are expected to graduate at the end of this year from the Multichoice Talent Factory academy, as part of the class of 2022.

The two; Chisomo Kawaga and Asante Mbaimbai join Mphatso Makamu, Chimwemwe Livason, Jonathan Kapumba and Chimwemwe Mwkezalamba as Malawi’s MTF alumni who working as film industry professionals in their own right, actively contributing to the growth of Malawi’s creative arts landscape.

Emma Gichonge, MultiChoice Malawi Managing Director said: "We look forward to seeing them using their acquired knowledge to help build the Malawian film industry, like the co-horts that came before them.

This year, Multichoice introduced OneZed, the home of Africa’s stories on GOtv, binge worthy movie channel, Movie Room on DStv, Big Brother Naija, and international blockbuster movie channel, Studio Universal which was a game changer on GOtv.

2022 also saw local content producers make strides on the international stage as notable premieres such as Fatsani: A Tale of Survival showed during AfroCinema film festival.

The movie Highbrow showed on Zambezi Magic which received an incredible response and is now one of the top 20 most watched movies on Showmax.
