Multi choice Malawi has hiked prices of residential Dstv and GOtv subscription fees with the new prices coming to effect on 15th July 2022.
In a statement Kulinji.com has seen, the company attributed the increment to prevailing market forces.
Multi choice has said the price adjustments have been done bearing in mind the economic crisis that Malawi is facing.
“DStv and GOtv have taken into account the 25 percent devaluation of the Malawi Kwacha, 19.1 percent rate of consumer inflation and current economic pressures facing Malawians when coming up with the new prices,” reads the statement in part.
The South Africa based company said the development was inevitable in maintaining its high-quality service provision to its customers through appropriate pricing of its services.
“Across the African continent, DStv and GOtv continue to keep its customers at the heart of everything through investments in a variety of content and innovative technologies to keep our clients entertained and informed,” reads the statement further.
It indicated that customers are its priority and they continue to put their needs at the heart of everything.
Last year in September, prices for GOtv subscription packages got hiked which got many people complaining.
