
Gospel musician, Wendy Harawa has said she is overwhelmed after winning two awards at the Royal Gospel Music Awards in Uganda.
She won Southern African Artist Of The Year; Southern African Song Of The Year for her song 'Hallelujah' which features Zambian Abel Chungu.

Interestingly she was placed in the same category with the likes of another Zambian, Esther Chungu and Pompi
Harawa was nominated in four categories; Southern African Artist Of The Year; Southern African Song Of The Year; Collaboration Of The Year and Video Of The Year.
Over the years, she has accumulated numerous accolades and she said this her it just shows what Jesus can do for you.

Writing on her Facebook page, Harawa was jubilant: “First of all I would like to congratulate my fellow nominees for we are all winners, it does not mean am the best, but the grace of God was with me this time around, and your votes did it.
“Thank you Malawi, thank you Africa, thank you Uganda, above all thank you King Jesus Christ my Lord. The Royal Gospel Music Awards my gratitude is beyond measure. Malawi they are coming home. We did it.”
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for her achievements as Ajiya Lupiya said: “Look what God is doing to you now it really shows that if you lean on God nothing happens against your will am happy for you.
Lupiya encouraged Harawa to keep working hard saying she is making the country proud.
