Punishes former coach Gavin Hunt
Malawi international forward, Gabadinho Mhango opened his scoring account at his new home Amazulu FC as he helped his side come from behind in the 2-1 victory against Super Sport United in the DStv Premiership at Moses Mabidha Stadium on Wednesday evening.
This was Mhango's second match with the club following their goalless draw with TS Galaxy away last week where Mhango was introduced five minutes before the final whistle.
Playing at home against his former coach at Bidvets Wits Gavin Hunt on Wednesday, the Malawian striker was introduced 61 minutes later while his side was trailing 1-0 from a goal that came in the second half at 56 minutes.
The decision to introduce him worked wonders for the coach as he netted an equaliser four minutes into play, before his colleague Bonginkosi Ntuli sealed the winner at 78 minutes.
The maximum points took Amazulu FC to third position on the log table with four points.
Royal AM, John Maduka's former club lead the table with six points, while Mhango's former side Orlando Pirates come fourth on the table with four points.
Mhango left Pirates this year to join Amazulu FC due to lack of game time.
On joining Amazulu, the former Nyasa Big Bullets star promised that he will try to win trophies.
This is his fifth club in South Africa after playing for Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows, Bidvets Wits, and Pirates.
