Italian Women’s Serie A football giants Inter Milan have unveiled Tabitha Chawinga on a one-year loan deal from Chinese Women’s Super League defending champions Wuhan Jiangda.

Some local publications broke the news some days ago that Chawinga would be heading back to Europe and on Thursday, the Italian side confirmed the news.

InterMillan posted on their Facebook page a picture of Tabitha in their jersey, with a caption: "The new InterWomen forward is here! Welcome Tabitha."

Before being unveiled, Chawinga told local publications that the deal was her dream come true.

“This is a dream move for me. It is time to face a new challenge. God has made it possible and I thank Him,” she was quoted.

She goes back to Europe leaving behind her sister, Temwa at Wungda where they just won the Chinese Women's Cup.

However, the former DD Sunshine superstar kept insisting that she was happy in China.

She joins Inter just weeks after helping Wuhan win the Chinese Women’s Cup.

Milan qualified for the top tier continental club competition after finishing second in the Italian Women’s League with 84 points from 34 games, and were just two points behind champions AC Milan Ladies.

Before moving to China, Chawinga played for Krokom Dvasatt straight from Malawi's DD Sunshine, before she joined Kvarnsvedens IK.

She a two-time winner of the Player-of-the-Year award in China.

Tabitha was also in contention for the CAF Africa Women Footballer of the Year in 2018.
