Malawian champions Nyasa Big Bullets will face Tanzania's, Simba SC in the preliminary round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.
This follows a TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, and Confederation Cup draw conducted on Tuesday in Cairo Egypt.
Simba SC is the home for former Bullets star, Peter Banda.
According to the draw, the first round matches will be played on the weekend of 9 to 11 September with the return matches being played on 16 to 18 September this year.
The winner between the two teams will play Zambia's Red Arrow or Angola's Premiro Agosto in the second qualifying round on the weekend of 7 to 9 October, with the second legs being played from 14 to 16 October this year.
For many years, Bullets have failed to go past the group stages of the competition.
Last year, they were booted by South Africa's Amazulu FC following their 3-2 aggregate loss.
Unlike Bullets, Simba SC went on to the quarterfinals last year.
They also produced the Best Goal of the year at the CAF awards last year from Pape Sakho's goal in the same tournament.
Bullets is yet to react to the draw.
