Badu, Seleman, Idana and Wali no longer Bullets

Ghanaian centre-back, Isaac Badu, Misheck Seleman, Chimwemwe Idana and Hadji Wali will not be part of TNM Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets squad for the 2023 football season.

Bullets on Wednesday said Badu had left the club after his two-year contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

The Ghanaian centre-back joined the People’s team at the start of the 2022 season and played two competitive games; against Kamuzu Barracks and Civil Service United in the TNM Super League.

Seleman and Idana whose contracts with the club end on 16 March 2023 and 21 February 2023, respectively, could not renew their deals and have left.

The People's team has transfer-listed Wali with immediate effect and said they have  advised the defender to look for a club of his choice on the agreement that Bullets and the new club will discuss the player’s transfer. He joined Bullets in February 2022.

Another player that will no longer be at Bullets is Mphatso Magaleta who has been released on loan during the 2023/24 football season. "The club will determine the loan transfer arrangements of the player. The midfielder arrived at The People’s Team in February 2022," reads the statement from the club.

The club said midfielders Ernest Petro, McFallen Magwira and Righteous Banda have agreed to extend their contracts.

Petro has signed a new three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2026, while Mgwira remains at the club until 2024 after agreeing to a one-year contract extension and Banda is tied to Bullets for another two years, with his new deal ending in 2025.

The People's Team also indicated they expect defender White Kitsen to rejoin the club following the completion of his one-year loan spell at Sable Farming FC.
