Bangwe All Stars battle Bullets Reserves for TNM Super League promotion

The finals of the 2022 Thumbs Up Southern Region Premier Division League will hit the climax on Saturday, January 28 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) made the announcement in a statement released on Monday, January 23rd, 2023.

The finals will be between Bangwe All Stars and Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve as they battle for supremacy ad bragging rights in the league.

For Bangwe All Stars, the stakes are high as they seek promotion into the TNM Super League to go past the defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve.

There are also monetary gains as the winner will pocket K2.5 million while the runner up will go home with K1.5 million.

Bangwe All Stars finished sixth last season and have expressed optimism they will get the money and the promotion this time around.

The team has had a time to rest and prepare for the finals while Bullets Reserve were in action against FOMO FC to book their place in the final.

The All Star team beat MDF Marine at Mpira Stadium 4-2 goals to 2 (5-3 on aggregate) in December.

Bullets Reserve went over FOMO FC 3 goals to nil (4-0 on aggregate) over the weekend at Kamuzu Stadium.

This Saturday will see the third pace contest between match FOMO FC and MDF Marine start from 12 in the noon.

The third and fourth placed teams will receive K750,000 and K500,000 respectively.
