Thousands turned for late Martin 'Martse' Nkhata memorial show at Cape Maclear School Ground on the 23rd of May, 2023.

The memorial marks a year since Martse died mysterious in a fire.

An emotional Martse's father, Frazer Martin Nkhata, told the crowd there are so many unanswered questions.

"Why was it that Martse chose this place? Why is it that he did not choose any school in his home village?

"Why did he not die here but at QECH, where he was born? God will answer all these questions," he said Nkhata.

Before the live performances, Martse Foundation Director, Richard Chirwa, officially handed over desks to the headteacher for Cape Maclear Primary School, Esther Banda.

Artists who performed at the event included: Evanz Muzik, Nepman, Wikise, Krazie G, Hyphen, Provoice, Waxy Kay, Crispy Malawi, and Fly P.
