Mighty Wanderers Football Club will not be participating in any international tournament this season.
This is despite being eligible to participate after acquisition of Bangwe Super Queens.
The Club board chairperson Chancy Gondwe and acting Chief Executive Officer Roosevelt Mpinganjira said the team is in a building phase.
In a statement, Gondwe and Mpinganjira said: "The club will not participate in this year's tournaments as we are busy with the redevelopment of the squad.
"We have decided to defer international participations to ensure that we fully develop the squad before we consider competing in such tournaments. It's better we compete than just participate for the sake of it."

The club also said it is developing its strategic plan for the next 10 years.
"This is in line with our vision of developing Wanderers as a going concern. We would like also to create and build a successful and sustainable football club for the supporters before we return to continental football which has been the vision of our President and the Board."
The last time the club participated in International was in 2018 when they lost 6-1 to AS Vita Club of DRC.
